Morphy Richards 305003 Iron: review, specifications, pros/cons, reviews

In the 21st century, almost all appliances have become "smart". The iron Morphy Richards 305003 is not an exception. It has the so-called "smart" mode of operation, which allows you to automatically regulate both the power of heating the soleplate, and the density of the steam on the clothes.

The iron itself is made in the UK, so users are unlikely to have any complaints about its reliability. And what else is remarkable about this iron?

Overview of functionality of Morphy Richards 305003

  1. Constant steam.
  2. Steam blow (adjustable). Also has "hard" steam blow.

  5. Supports vertical steaming.
  6. Automatic shut off if placed horizontally.
  7. Auto shut off after 3 minutes if stationary (regardless of position).
  8. There is a LED backlight. It is located right behind the water tank. Not very intense, but when you turn it on, you can more conveniently monitor whether creases are left on the clothes, in conditions of insufficient brightness.
  9. Easy to remove water tank.

Distinctive features of the model

The main distinguishing feature of the Morphy Richards 305003 iron is the support of the "smart" ironing mode. It is activated by pressing a special button. There is no traditional thermostat here, the control is fully adapted to the buttons. When this mode is activated, the temperature of the soleplate heating, as well as the steam intensity is regulated automatically. This also works as an anti-drip system.

In addition to this there is a hinged attachment of the power cable to the body. Does not interfere with operation at all, does not get tangled. It moves only in vertical plane, so it never gets under your hand.

The soleplate is fully ceramic coated. On the one hand - it improves slip, but sometimes it causes the synthetics to stick. So in this case it is better to set the temperature of the soleplate heating by yourself. The smart mode does not always work correctly.

Most of the buttons for control are placed directly on the handle. There is also an "eco-mode" of steaming, when the steam is supplied evenly over the entire area of the soleplate.

Pros and cons of the model

Customer Reviews

Reviews are mixed. No complaints to the functionality of the iron Morphy Richards 305003, but the quality of the assembly leaves much to be desired, some came across defective models.

Antonina Vushak

I am happy with the iron, but after 6 months the tank started leaking. I had to change it under warranty, there was no problem with it. This is my second one now, no complaints so far. Irones well, the steam blow is like a full-fledged ironing station.
