Tefal FV5737 Iron: review, technical characteristics, pros and cons, reviews

Tefal is a kind of "flagship" in the world of household irons. Produces the largest range of models, both inexpensive and for professional use. And Tefal FV5737 is one of the most affordable irons of this manufacturer. But at the same time, it has support for all those technologies that Tefal appliances are equipped with and with a higher price category.

Functionality review

Supported by Tefal FV5737 iron functions:

  • steam blow;
  • Constant steam (without holding down the button, you just need to put the knob in the appropriate position);
  • Limescale protection;
  • protection against dripping, splashing (steam turns on only when the soleplate is heated to a predetermined temperature);
  • there is a function of splashing (also need to set the regulator to the appropriate position);
  • Limescale protection (both in the reservoir itself and on the soleplate, in the nozzles);
  • The soleplate is made with Durilium Airglide technology, so it heats up quickly (faster than ceramic-metal or ceramic-coated);
  • visual control of the remaining water level.

Model Features

Although Tefal FV5737 does not have a ceramic soleplate (made of duralumin), it is lightweight, and by adding special grooves with a shift to the back - perfectly glides on any fabrics. This model also uses an advanced limescale protection system. So if you release the steam button, it does not immediately shut off its flow, but gradually reduces, and this prevents the situation when there are drops on the soleplate.

The cable is reinforced and thickened. It does not twist, does not curl (even if you store it just "wrapped" the iron with it, as most do).

Pluses and minuses of the model

The main advantages of the Tefal FV5737 iron:

  1. Inexpensive, as for an iron from this manufacturer.
  2. Lightweight.
  3. Can be used for vertical steaming of things.
  4. Does not form scale, even after 0.5 years of active use.
  5. The soleplate does not scratch.

Disadvantages:

  • Not convenient cord attachment;
  • Anti-drip system works well only if the maximum heating temperature is turned on;
  • small volume of water tank.

Customer Reviews

In 99% of cases, the reviews are only positive. It is not surprising, since Tefal irons are considered the most reliable and convenient, and at the same time - visually attractive.

Yana Sokolova

I wanted to buy an iron from this manufacturer for a long time. I decided on this model. Yes, in every way it is better than other irons. The only thing I did not like was the steam blow. It is powerful, but if you hold the button for more than 1 second, it always starts "spitting". So that the vertical steaming here can be said that it does not work.
